* Using FMModifier I raised the CA of a player with 60 points and monitored which stats went up and which stats didn't. Most stats went up by 3 point, some by 2 points and some by 4 points (physical). The only stats that remained unaltered were: flair, aggression, determination and natural fitness.
* There are also hidden stat like dirtiness or injury proness. I don't know if these are linked to CA.

So far I'm still about a point away from accurate stats as I want them to appear when the player reaches his PA. Occasionally though one stat will either go 2-3 points below what I wanted or likewise above
Now if some helpful soul from SI could just assist it would save me a lot of time trying to find out the specific combinations. I'll get there but it takes time and my two year old son isn't sparing me any
Once I'm sure I've got it spot on I'll send out the template for those who are interested.
I may even be able to get the data to autopopulate the editor, saving time manually typing the values in but I haven't tested this yet!
| dude you seem to have alot of time on your hands - the attributes are weighted differently depending on player's position. Imagine if player has 5 positions entered with a various degree of proficiency.

If you're interested the stats I've discovered that are actually effected by CA/PA are:
Crossing:
Dribbling:
Finishing:
Heading:
Longshots:
Marking:
Movement:
Passing:
Penalties:
Tackling:
Vision:
Anticipation:
Decisions:
One on Ones:
Positioning:
Reflexes:
First Touch:
Technique:
Corners:
Teamwork:
Work Rate:
Long Throws:
Acceleration:
Free Kicks:
Strength:
Stamina:
Pace:
Jumping:
Leadership:
Balance:
Bravery:
Agility:
Composure:
Concentration:
Therefore the stats not connected to CA/PA are:
Left Foot:
Right Foot:
Flair:
Dirtiness:
Consistency:
Aggression:
Important Matches:
Injury Proneness:
Versatility:
Natural Fitness:
Determination:
And all Personality stats
My tests seem to confirm this but if anyone thinks I've got it wrong I'm willing to listen. I've not included keeping stats at this stage (all set to 1)but I've only been working on outfield players.

| Immportant matches means how close to his ability a player performs in a big game (Cup finals, top of table clashes etc) but other stats also have an impact on this as well.

Injury Proneness is configured:
1: virtually invincible
10: Susceptible but not fragile
20: All bones are made of glass. Injuring this player is easier than poking a hole through wet toilet paper.
If you have a look at the programme FM Genie Scout, it has an automatic calculator on there, to calculate what a player will look like when they reach their potential. This might help you with your calculations (assuming that theirs were right in the first place).
It is also possible for players with identical visible stats to have wildly different (50 points) ability ratings. Indeed, someone like Nigel Reo-Coker in one of my game runs looked on paper a better player than Stevie G, but the scout revealed him to be some way off in terms of playing ability (145 vs 185).
Finally, ability seems to come along with being attacking - there aren't that many high ability (or potential) defenders in the database, and there are a lot of high potential attackers/midfielders.

| I've taken a look at Genie and it's a very good tool for estimating what a player will look like when he reaches his PA but it does not include the players physical stats when it shows them at their peak. Age plays a big part in players physical development also. When a player passes his peak age his physcial stats can drop dramatically.
For reference peak ages are:
Keepers: 31 -35
Defenders 27-32
Midfielders 27-32
Strikers 26-31
