Any tips to improve these areas?
I've used a pretty large number of tactics, some I made myself and some by others, but I haven't really seen any of them dealing with all this effectively.
Seems at times that no matter the tactic or the instructions, players will often clear balls badly - straight to the opposition. Same with rebounds. Seems the AI is much better at taking advantage of this, both offensively and defensively. Looks like their players generally, on a non-scientific average, are better positioned to take advantage of those.
About 50/50s, I really can't tell. I suppose on average, considering all the squads I've managed and all tactics I've used, I win as many as I lose (hence then name 50/50s I guess

), but still would like to get better.
I know from reading the boards that players with high positioning, off the ball and decisions are often suggested for things like these. Jumping and heading are also naturally recommended for 50/50s. But is that all we can do pretty much?
I'm just a little frustrated at seeing match after match how the AI is seemingly a notch or two better than whatever I can throw at it regarding these things, and apparently there's very little I can do tactically. I can't tell my players to surge forward after a FK to the box, for example, counting to catch a keeper parry or rebound. Or I can't tell them to clear balls out of defense properly - I can
suggest the CDs to do it, for example, by telling them to pass long, but that's not a solution and I haven't really observed them clearing balls any better with it.
So, trust the stats? Is that all? Or is there something more we can do?
