Im currently man utd and have been fiddling with my tactics to try and and find a good looking way to win. At last i have found it, however i have one problem. I have my fullbacks set to 'go forward often' and constantly find them out of position so i tried to put forward runs to mixed.
This seemed to help a bit but i find that my fullbacks wait until the winger has gone past them and then chase them meaning a cb has to come across and help, dragging everyone out of position. This may be because i have my fb's closing down setting to 'own area' (the nothc closest to own half.
I have tried changing this to close in own half and even everywhere but my defensive line close down in the opponents half even when i have them closing down in my penalty area so this didnt help i just meant more players where out of position.
i even have tight marking on yet theyre still chasing away.
Anyone got any suggestions, please try and help. thanks
