Missing players in FM2008 Demo

Do you find on the FM2008 Demo that many players are either not available (greyed out) or non-existent...my question is why? and is there a way of gaining access to these players without cheating?

This is because in the demo you can only have a small database and you cannot get access to these players unless you buy the full game and set database size to large
