To help explain the league system out in them there parts!
seem to have had the most confusing Christmas ever, and I didn't even drink and reading the league info in the game was no help.
Been in Brazil for three seasons with Uniao Barbarense and Vila Nova (GO) 3rd div, and still can't work it all out. Half the fun is getting to the end of the season and trying to work out if you won anything.
Is Brazil the most confusing or is Argentina worse? (just so I know to stay well clear in any future saves)
I am Brazilian, maybe I can help, although I have never played the Brazilian League. What exactly is confusing you?
But first of all you need have on mind that Brazil is larger than the whole Europe, so it wouldn't work there a league like in Europe. It has to be separated by regions and states since it makes no sense to travel 4.000 km to play a 3rd division match.
Have a look where each State is in the map on this link, maybe help.
You play in the State League at the start of the season (unsurprisingly, this involves playing against teams from the same state as you).
Then, you play the Cup ( ).
Finally, you play the 20-ish games in your 3rd Division group. More or less, depending on how many teams in your group.
If you finish top of your group, you go into the playoffs, which last a few rounds...

I thought that too after I read the post, but didn't want the whole double post post bossting edit thing, thought you could sort it out, and then no one would ever know :dyslexic:
Ok why play the state championship and what does winning the state championship do for me?
And why have the cup as a seperate? I just get knocked out in round 2 and sit on my ar*e for a few more months! (yes I know you couldn't travel a million miles fora cup game mid week then play league on saturday) but still
I get the 3rd div, leagues and then play offs thats just like many lower leagues in europe
The point about the State Championships is that if you somehow manage to qualify for the final, your share of gate receipts from ~70,000 punters will easily re-pay any (any?) effort you put into it.
Plus, with the cup being a joke and the 3rd Division not starting for about half a year, you don't get much chance to test any new players out, do you?
hmmm Brazilian third Division sounds fun!!! No really, i like be confussed.
I am in Argentina second Division and it's not confussing. ALthough the average points system over 3 years thingy for relegation and stuff is a little strange when being used to europe. It's not nearly as bad as Brazil. And hey i have an Ecuadorian international in my team, albeit at 36 years old.
