finnished 3rd in the league quallifying for the later stages. Where we ended up loosing 4-2 the final to Anapolina in the finnal

Still sucks a*se lost in the first round I played (which was the 4th) yet again. though by defult got further Than I have before.

League
Frist season in the 2nd div and I was expecting to go down. Spent heavily most of my £400K early on the bring in some quality, in defence and midfeild.
Sold of my star player for 1.5 mill. fans were unhappy and I was left backless for 1/2 a season. but a finnish of 9th kept them and the board happy. Missed out on the playoffs on goal diff.

2012
Got odds of 20-1 and the word on the betting floor is we could go up if we beat the big teams (no sh*te Sherlock). board and fans want safe mid table, and i've got 1.5 mill to spend need to get a decent DL and maybe a young keeper to help out at the back.

Need to pull in bigger crowds to fund any chance of promotion (got space for 54049 but average only 7903 for the season).

2012

Spent a lot of our budget on .5 mill on a u21 brazilian amc who should come of age in 2013, spent the rest on a couple of DL and some young strikers to cover for aging sicko's.

Average attendance went up to 11741, 4000 up on last year, still another 40000+ spaces to fill though. Ground maintinance is killing the budget

Got a few job offers form 2nd div sides and one struggling div 1 side. sating put for now, but fancy moving back to Europe in the future.
State Div
Knocked out in the final again, this time to 2nd div Goias 2-0 over two legs. Having lost twice fancy winning this next season.

Cup
still sucking ar*e , need to get further than 4th round, though getting knocked out in the first round we enter helps keep our players fresh for the league .

League Div 2
Sat in a playoff spot all season, spending a few weeks at the top and dropping no lower than 6th, finally finnishing 4th.

Qualified for playoff group B which we topped winning 3 and drawing 3. Into the final 4 finnished bottom loosing 4 of our 6 games and missing out on promotion .

Next season

Board and fans want mid table, which shows a how well we over acheived last season.

Only got 1/2mill to spend this season, though we have a few good u20's (who won the league) to call up, and a couple of the players brought in on last years big budget were young guns.

If the old guys and stay fit and the young one play well we should be there and there abouts again.

Anyone know the the difference in the reputation of the Brazilian 2nd div and the English conference national?

I started declairing intrest in portugese lower league jobs this season seeing if I could get back to Europe, figuring that was most realistic way back. After a bit of press about my move, Morecombe offer me the job.

It's a clasic, tjhey are in debt, transfeers of 14K and a over budget wage bill. Might be worth the move for a fresh challange!

In what may be seen as a surprise appointment, the Morcambe board have named Zippy McDuff as their new boss.

The relatively unknown Brazilian manager, whose first game in charge will be against Halifas on wednesday 6th Febuary 2013, declared he was looking farward to the challange at Christie Park.
