2014/2015
Norwich City

The rebuilding of the Norwich squad continued. I cashed in on my best player (averaging 7.97 the season before, and 8.35 in this season) and sold him for 1.7 million to Brighton. He didn't play regularly there, and ended up with 24 games and 7.05 only. Still, no way I could have paid his wages down in League One. Along the guy, I also sold some other players, mainly oldies, for a combined 1.1 million.

With the new filled transfer kitty, I bought some talent and filled some positions, for a total of 1.1 million. Some of the signings even turned out first eleven material, especially my MR (free vom Millwall), a 120k DC from Yeovil, a 325k striker from Port Vale (who scored 23 in 28 for me), and a 19 year old AML from Liverpool. I also landed a very promising AMC from some Irish club who my scouts unearthed, and he really looked awesome. Unfortunately the supporters started moaning, not liking the guy, so for the next season, he's leaving again for Man City, bringing 1.2 million into the kitty. That's about 60 times the amount I paid for him.

Well, otherwise not much happened. Finished 8th. Out in the cups early, rebuilding here, rebuilding there, Notts Forest offered me the job, I refused, Millwall got relegated again...

Let's see what the next season brings to Norwich. My top rated goalie is leaving to Rangers on a free and I did not find adequate replacement.

2015/2016
Norwich City

The rebuilding process continued. I picked up 6 players with expiring contracts, along them a new goalie from Motherwell, and two of my former Millwall players. Didn't spend a penny on transfers despite having 7 million to spend. Even was a good 10k below the wage budget of 85k/week.

Season started well, with only one defeat in the first 7 games. Unfortunately, my key right fullback got injured then, and a slump with only 4 points out of the next 5 games followed. Even a short-term-loan as replacement didn't help, so I just had to cry and sob and wait. Norwich dropped down to 17th, and the media called me an "under pressure manager".

Anyway, since I did not want to get sacked just to see my successor spend the 7 million in the kitty on crap players, I decided to strengthen the squad a bit and make use of the remaining wage budget. Especially my defense needed some help, and I bought a new goalie (trading in 200k and two players in exchange to Chesterfield), a new DC from Aston Villa, and a new DL.

Things immediately improved, and with great form, we ended up 3rd in the end of the season. We even had a chance for promotion when Sheffield United dropped some points and we were up on the last matchday. A late equalizer sent me into tears, again.

Anyway, if you remember, I once made West Ham feel really bad, beating them with Millwall in the playoff finals. I decided that doing it again would be a nice treat, so Norwich are going into the Championship next season, beating West Ham 3-1 in the playoff finals.

Btw, cups suck ass. Especially when you lose 0-3 against Conference South side Weymouth. And no, I did not rest my first team.
