wtf. I just wanted to reply, got an error, tried to reply again and it wouldn't let me because "the same post already existed". But when I check this page, it's not here. Ian! Do something!

2008/2009

Wage budget was reduced, best players got injured, Rotherham were in the drop zone, and I got the sack, around year change. - Unthankful bastards!

Fellow League 1 drop candidates Millwall offered me the job, and gladly (although it's Millwall!) I accepted. Hell, lots of high-earners in the squad (up to some Spanish former Ipswich striker who gets 8k/week), but no decent goalie and no full backs.

Picked up a decent goalie, and some defenders, and off we went. Super-striker decided that he would be jaded for the rest of the season (he doesn't like me. Or the fact that he's supposed to press instead of just standing there), but I decided to play him nevertheless and to fine him every week he'd complain.

End of season, we finished 10th. Sad thing is: with my performance continued over all the season, we would have achieved promotion. Quick check:

former Millwall idiot:
26-35 goals, 31 points in 26 games 8W 8D 10L 1,19 points/game

new Millwall idiot:
33-20 goals, 36 points in 20 games 9W 8D 3L 1,8 points/game

Last but not least: Rotherham got relegated.
