but should off course cost millions. | Around 70 million  for a new stadium so I've been told! and we're still only talking English 1st or 2nd division standard.

I got Redbridge to the Championship, hovering between Mid Table and relegation zone

Whoops. Hadn't finished. Sorry about the potboot. As I was saying, got to Championship in about 7 or so seasons, but I got jack of the scouting issue, and of everyone who was half decent turning me down, (and being turned down by absolute crap also) so I jumped to Palace.
iajafer, when you went back to Harrogate, were the scouting probs fixed. Cause I'm not really enjoying the Palace experience...not enough of a challenge. They had an awesome enough team when I got there (esp. in attack) and moved them up three or four positions before the end of the season (in a handful of games - They were 17th.) After about 5 signings in the off season, I've got them in fourth or so. I miss my Redbridge and want to go back, but I just don't want to get frustrated like before.
(Sorry about the whinge!)

What's this? An apology for a potboot
A few years back (FM time) I got sacked from a conf side then a few weeks later got offered the job back???? I didn't really consider that realistic so naturally, I turned them down.
Not too sure what that has to do with this thread :o

I know this is against everything the LLM guidebook, but Cup wins help raise your Teams (as well as your manager's) reputation. I won the FA Cup back to back with Stafford Rangers and the Teams Rep went to National for a time... gladly it was during the offseason and I was able to sign plenty of Blokes that would otherwise have turned their nose at my little team...
So in addition to the Extra cash, The Bump in Rep helps out quite a bit.
Cups DO NOT suck Arse.

Back-to-back FA Cups with Stafford Rangers, and your rep only went up to National?
What Division were you in? If you were EPL your rep would be National anyway, and back-to-back FA Cups with a non-EPL Team would be extremely doubtful, not to mention unrealistic.
Basil?

I managed to take Blyth Spartans to the Championship - may have even made the playoffs one season. It can be done, but you just need peserverance.
Iajafer - did Harrogate appoint a new boss when you left, or did you get the same trouble as I got when I left Blyth (no new manager appointed) |
