Albion Rovers - Premier League - Season 2010/11
Early in pre-season i get notified that Dunfermline's top gun, an international Irish striker is about to leave the club on a free. I manage to snap him up, as he looks like a goal machine. At the same time, we sign a 21yo D/DML from Falkirk. I also decide than a 22yo D/DMC who had a few chances in the first team last season will replace the idiot DC.
Having covered our holes, we set out on a genuine title challenge. Our European campaign ends at the hands of Man City who are no longer sh!tty, so we concentrate entirely on the league. The fact the games against the superior Auld Firm are close together is a great help, as we have 9 winnable games before facing the big boys. We jump top after 10 games but only last for a couple of weeks. We return there after 18 and slowly build a gap that should keep us safe come the league split.
Clear by 12 with 8 games to go, i feel confident. Five games later though, Celtic are just 3 points behind as they visit us for the title decider. They never bother to show up as we get our first win over them in 12 efforts \o/. A 4-1 drubbing of St Johnstone seals the tile with a game to spare, and Rangers are also brushed aside 1-0 :o

Rangers get a bit of their pride back a week later, as they defeat us 3-2 on penalties in the Scottish Cup final.
Irish striker and English FLC combine for 44 goals between them. The ML averages 8.10, while 3 players from the defence get ratings at 7.30 - that's bloody good for my defences
