KUTGW greek poof! i couldn't be a*sed reading your update, and yes they should be banned, well yours should. I assume the update contained boasting. I know you used Moo's tactic but you would have been sacked if you didn't use the free transfers listed in "insert crap player naming forum"
ps your poof boyfriend and bigpants have been going at it for ages...
Cups save arse. What started out as a disaster turned out to be a highly succesful season thanks to wins in the League Cups at crucial moments.
As was my objective, i managed to keep my first team together, rejecting a highly tempting £1.9m for my key striker along the way. Min fee release clauses dissapeared from the players' contracts as well, while i revamped our weak left side with a D/DMLC and what turned out to be a star ML.
4 points in the first 2 games were a good start, 5 games later though we were at the bottom of the league and being absolutely outclassed. In my desperation i fielded my first team in the League Cup fixtures, hoping for wins and much needed morale boosts. A run to the SF's helped us stay well away from the relegation zone, jumping between 6th and 8th in the table.
The addition of a smart DC helped us heal our defensive woes after January, as we were shipping in more than two goals per game (and scoring about as much, thankfully). A late season flourish saw us jump 6th just before the league split and, in the end, beat Dunfermline to the 5th place and (probably) Intertwobob Cup next season.
The key striker got 20 goals over the season, 6 of them in the all-important LC games. The new ML won the Scottish Player of the Year award by averaging 7.82 in 33 appearances, while a 19yo FLC was introduced to first team football after scoring 82 goals in 125 games for the U-19's and Reserves; he didn't dissapoint, scoring 3 goals in 4 games against tough opposition. Definitely one for the future.
