Wolves - Premiership - Season 2019/20
A few quality freebies join in, and i also spend £26m on 3 players: A Spanish DC from Wigan who heals our permanent woes in the defence, a quality fullback from Boro and a winger D/DML from Liverpool - have a history with that fella: had missed out on him to some Conference club while at Albion, and 3 years later he was a regular for the Scousers and Poofland :o. At the same time, Yank ex-wonderkid and a Scot AMC make the jump to Liverpool for a combined £39m.
This time we mean business in the league: after an initial shock defeat at Old Trafford, we proceed to win 22 of the next 23 games, all but mathematically securing the title - which eventually happens on matchday 33.
We also encounter several deja-vus in Europe: we beat Roma twice in the group stage to condemn them to a lack-lustre UEFA Cup campaign, smash Chelsea and Lyon in the next knockout rounds to pair with Inter at the semis. Revenge is a dish best served cold

. The Italians are punished for beating Albion so easily some years ago by losing 6-1 on agg. The final against Juventus was a tense affair more because of our level of finishing, but an early goal in each half gave us the edge. Champions League Winners.
Earlier, we'd blown our chance of a Quadruple by losing to Manure on penalties in the League Cup Final after a cracking match, and unfortunately we didn't do much better against Boro in the FA Cup final.
Looking to move, but chances are it won't be AEK. I've been wanting to dive to the Lower Leagues for a couple of seasons now, so i'll see what comes up this summer. Watch this space...
