Wolves - Premiership - Season 2017/18
Not many changes to the playing staff; a brilliant BRA FRLC joins on a free from Schalke. In January, i sell an Irish AMR to Arsenal for £20m and replace him with a young Dane AMR from Hull - £15m.
We start the season on excellent form. In fact, we never lose in the league for 29 games - but when we do, we lose again and Arsenal start breathing down our neck.
At that point, our CL run comes to an end. After topping a group of death (Milan, Leverkusen, Benfica), we dispatch Dinamo Kiev in the Last 16 (6-2 on agg) and meet Roma in the Quarterfinals. The Italians have won the CL for 3 seasons in a row, so we pose little threat to them. There are only 3 shots on target in both legs, they're all theirs and they're all goals.
We react by winning all four remaining league games and win the Premiership. We also achieve the double by beating Charlton in the League Cup Final.
Waiting for the AEK manager to retire, he's 63. Surely any time now?
