Wolves - Championship - Season 2014/15

I spend £5.8m on 16 new faces over the course of the season. Among them 6 former Rovers, the RL Barcelona wonderkid Argie midfielder, a fabulous English MC from Derby and a clinical South African striker. This means we have cover for every position on the field-- we even have a left sided sweeper \o/, but the club suffers badly financially (we lose £13m overall :o).

The league turned out to be less of the challenge i expected it to be.The usual tough periods of August and December were sandwiched between long ubeaten runs as we won the Championship with 5 games to spare. Sheff Wed finish 2nd and Bournemouth win the playoffs.

Our defence excelled right after i dropped the "wonderkid" DC, while a Canadian AML provided us with 7 goals and 21 assists. The ex- Dunfermline and Albion Irish striker was our top scorer with 20.

That nation i'm managing

My first go at international management under FM is annoying, but i think there's potential to improve (from a playability point of view). Biggest problem is that the U-21's and U-19's get first option on players of that age - so a couple of available wonderkids haven't been able to make their debuts. Bad news is we're hosting the 2016 European Championship, so there are no competitive games for another year. On top of that, the FA expect us to win it, which i frankly don't think will be possible :o. We played friendlies away at Holland (2-2), Luxemburg (4-0) and Croatia (2-2).

Wolves - Premierleague - Season 2015/16

I sign a few players on a free and spend £2.7m on a Greek MRL who turns out to be a steady performer. I also bring a familiar face to Wolverhampton, signing the Slovakian Albion goal machine.

Our form in the league was nothing spectacular. We reach our zenith after 3 games (4th) and our nadir after 7 (14th). Eventually we finish 10th, which isn't bad at all considering it was our first season at the top flight and we had great cup runs as well.

A few close wins in the early stages of the League Cup pair us with Newcastle in the semis, who we beat 4-2 on agg. to face Crystal Palarse in the final. Our best performance in the season marks a 5-0 win.

We also take advantage of easy draws in the FA Cup, we beat Chelsea 4-1 in the semis and meet Liverpool in the Final. The scousers don't meet much of a resistance and run out 2-0 winners.

Lots of freebies coming in the summer, and the finances are looking good. Interesting to see how we can handle the UEFA Cup games next season.

Greece - 2-15/16

A few more friendlies help the team gel and we even play some good football in the friendlies. Wins over Denmark, Portugal and Senegal and two draws with Mexico are our results.

European Championship 2016

Being the host nation, the FA expect us to exceed expectations and win it :o. Imagine my feelings when the group was announced: Albania, Turkey and Spain. :explode: etc.

Group stages turns out to be a stroll in the park: A 4-1 drubbing of our token Mexicans, a 2-1 win over the Ottoamn Empire and a 2-0 humping of Spain to win the group.

Norway in the QF's: a rather boring game sees both teams score in their only shot on target, and after an even more boring extra time come the penalties; we keep our nerve to win 4-2.

Italy in the semis: despite being knackered from our previous match, we get a goal in each half to send the surrender monkeys home.

Final against Spain. This time, our opponents are up to the task. They score early in the 2nd half and hold on through our vain and uninspired efforts. 0-1 loss.

WC qualifiers coming up, we'll be facing Finland, Denmark, Belarus, Faroe Islands, Andorra and Holland. Not the easiest group possible but we should do well.
