Albion Rovers - Premier League - Season 2013/14
Nothing important happens in pre-season. We only draft in a 30yo Scot international DC who was released from Celtic. I decide against changing the team any further - not that we could attract anyone significantly better than the current lot.
This year, we suffer a deja-vu in Europe: the group consists of Inter, Deportivo and Greek champions PAOK. We host the Italians and get outclassed once again, losing 0-2 without a sniff on a goal. We do well at Spain but can't avoid losing 0-1, meaning we really need to beat PAOK. We draw 1-1 at home and lose 1-2 at Salonica - only a miracle can see us through to the UEFA Cup.
At the same time, Rangers had made a storming start to the season and i was really worried about our league form. I send out the reserves to Italy for an 0-4 flogging - mathematically out of Europe. It's only then that we decide to start playing well again. We defeat Depor 3-2 to save a bit of our continental pride, and we concentrate on the league.
The rest is pretty much predictable; Rangers never manage to challenge our on-form lot as we retain the league and win the league cup for the first time. An early exit in the Scottish Cup against Celtic is fatal for our domestic treble claims.
In other news, i was offered the Newcastle and Chelsea jobs

, while AEK don't seem to be in need of my services yet - they've won 4 of the last 6 titles, reached the CL Semis last year and the UEFA Cup semis this year.
Waiting for an interesting job offer.
