Rep Power: 0 | The last two matches
Dusseldorf 1:3 Feucht
Not good enough for promotion, but 3 points clear of two teams with vastly superior GD.
VfB Stuttgart 1:0 Feucht
Good enough to finish second again. Game safely saved \o/\o/

I had steeled myself for a tough season in the 1st division. We hit the mid-season break in 9th spot and stayed there until match 33 (of 34) when we rose to the giddy heights of 8th, only to drop to 10th after the last match.
The only real embarrassments were Bayern away (6-1) and Werder Bremen away (4-0), but considering that they finished first (85pts) and second (82pts) respectively with the next best team collecting 62 points I wasn't too upset.
Lost money over the course of the season due to being £55kp/w over wage budget, but it was that or face relegation.
Lost to Bayern in the cup final (they narrowly missed out on the treble when Man U won their 3rd consecutive ECL on penalties) and then had a short wait to find out if Germany operated the same system as England (i.e. would I get into Europe losing the final to a team that had already qualified via the league). They do - and I take the mighty 1 SC Feucht into the UEFA Cup next season.
Started getting board messages that I haven't had before at the monthly update - they appreciate my continued loyalty! Given that my rep is still local and I haven't been offered a single job I find that a little odd.

The bookies obviously expect the coming season to be one sided. Bayern are 5-1 on for the title, with second favourites Schalke and Werder Bremen at 33-1
