true, although the boys at SI do seem to be getting much better at making save-game-friendly patches these days

I'm not planning on buying it in 2005, simply becaus early 2006 will probably be the time for the second patch, so imho it's no use to buy it earlier...
I want a stable game, wich I have with fm2005, as soon as 2006 gets a stable reputation, I'll probably switch.

A shame, but it took me so long to finally understand the ambiguity.

Oh, I get it. It's just not funny.

Generally in agreement with the sentiments here, as usual. A lot of people are so determined to find problems with a new game and can't wait to tell everyone. How about this: you buy a game, you play it the way it was intended, you enjoy it. End of story!

This is the 'stating the bleeding obvious' thread, isn't it?

I must admit I have a problem with bugs forums.

I think I spend most of my life waiting for game patches to be released to play a game and by that time, I've lost interest, or talk of a new version is out and I end up waiting for that.

It's my own downfall as I try not to look at the bugs forum, but I just can help it. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the old days on my Amiga, where I could just play and play and have no knowledge of any patches, or no way of finding out about bugs.

Bugs forum generally sucks ass.

I'd assume that 9.75/10 of the time they don't tend to do nowt with the small problems us LLaMas have, although with the 2006 Beta it does seem that LL clubs aren't p*ssing away money as before, in 2005.

After deliberating for a bit, I've decided that I'm just going to play a career game right from the off.

When patches become availabe I'll just install them (as song as they're save-compatible) and carry on. I'm not going to read the bug-fixes readme and I'm not going to open posts on here that have anything to do with the stability of the game.

A little bit of ignorance goes a long way in my opinion. While you're all depressed over any dodgy regens and unrealistic finances I'm going to be blissfully unaware, unless of course a showstopped actually hits me in the face.
