As the first 'amateur' posting in this one since Groove started it up I need to ask:

Is that a 'yes' or a 'no'? I would have thought past knowledge, find button, not scouted would have led to a NO, but you seem to be saying YES????

btw Glyn how is the price of petrol 'round your way, and when are they going to drop the VAT to pass on some savings to the struggling mororists

There is no 'past knowledge', certainly not in terms of FM gaming, so I'd say if he wants to take the risk of signing unscouted unknown players, that's up to him. It's when you zoom straight in on a player because you already know that they're good in the game it's a no-no.

By the same token: I hold a season ticket for my favourite club, and watch them every week home and away. Does that mean that I can sign any of these players in FM unscouted?

And I watch Match of the Day and The Championship every time they're on. And Champions League games. And Premiership/Football League/Conference/Primera Liga games on Sky. And Serie A on Bravo...

Surely you can't say that in the rulings of LLM that this level of prior knowledge is acceptable?

What part of NO don't you understand. Real life has nothing to do with FM. If one player is good IRL it does not necesseraly means that he is good in FM as well. Specially in lower leagues. Therefore, signing of any player without socuting him first is forbidden.
Please do try and understand.

Mr. Wizzle, you obviously have not understood what Glyn said. He means that basically, you can sign anyone if you want. It's your game. If you think it's fun to see your friends perform for you, go on.

This doesn't mean though that any LLaMa would do that. We scout players before hand. Do as you wish. It's your game, you paid for it, and you can play it however you want.
