Failed miserably...
I was surprised to win my first game against last years runners up RC Genk, but from then on it went down hill. Injuries and suspension made me play more of my reserve players than I ever intended, and after 16 games I found myself last with only 4 points.
And then the message came. Walhain board finally seem to be losing patience...that a bad result...would seal his fait.
Unfortunatly, my next game was against 2times in a row champions Anderlecht. We lost 2-3, after they got an 89th minute penalty.
Anyway, I got the sack, and wasn't able to find me a new job untill the beginning of the next season(nationality=Belgian)
Luckily, Dag&Red had heard of my fantastic ability in llm and offered me the job.
I was very pleased with the job.
Good facilities, finances ok.
Board exp: avoid...
Supp exp: avoid...
I got the job, after their manager left for Cardiff, and their three games in the season, and stand top af the league with 9points.
More will follow...

Season 5 2007-2008: end of season
I managed to continue the work of their previous manager, and ended second in third div.
I had to sell a lot of players because my wage budget was exceeded with 17.5K€, and didn't brought any new signings in because of my insecure finances(thx to wage budget) except for 1 bosman from Walhain(they are back in third! that's 2 consecutive relegations).
I also loaned a first division am r/c from Leeds who has astonishing stats. I also got in 4 youngsters that look like decent prospects.
Season 6(2008-2009)
Board expectations: Battle bravely...
Supporters expectations: avoid relegation
My expectations: Attain a respectable league position.
Well, we will see what it brings, I hope my youngsters will do the task. My starting 11 has an average age of 23, only because my goalie is 38. My d(l) has just celebrated his 15th birthday, but he already is 1 of the strongholders of my squad.
England just lost their European title to Serbia&Montenegro with their topstriker(no need for further tipping... ) banging in 11goals in 6games.

season 6: E.O.S
It was an average season, we had a good team and managed to pull in a few nice wins, but our lack of experience made us lose some too. We spent the whole season around 12th place.
The last 5 games brought us an unexpected winning-streak, and we finished the season 6th, beating West Ham 1point for that playoff place.
The semis against Port Vale were won very easily, so I started the final against Wimbledon with good hope.
Apparently, lady luck left us, and we lost without any chance: 4-2.
season 7(2009-2010): pre-season
Luckily, no one seemed to be interested in our little team, so next season I will be able to use all my current players, except for the loaned player. I got in 4 bosmans, 2 youth players from my adequate facilities, and player on a loan from Crystal Palace.
This season, I'm pushing for a promotion spot.
board expectations: Avoid relegation
supp. expectations: Avoid relegation
I won all of my friendlies, mainly because they were all against non-league teams like Billericay, Vauxhall motors, ...

Season 7(09-10): End of season:
The league started well, and after 7 games we had 19points, and were the untouchable leaders.
From then on it all went downhill. We lost a lot, drew some, but didn't manage to win a fair amount of games. Result: The former untouchable leaders dropped from 1st to 13th, with only 11games to go. We were only 14points behind a playoff spot(and 19behind promotion spot), but I was quite sure we wouldn't make it to 6th. We managed to pick up a decent form, and finished the season in 8th position. No playoffs for Dag&Red this season... At least I avoided relegation.
As I am slightly over my wagebudget(I expected to be in 1stdiv next season), my finances are worrying me. Hopefully, I can ship some players to richer clubs, and get in some other players for slave wages.
I already have 2 bosmans comming from conference sides that practicly want to play for me in exchange of a free beer after the games .

I'm back after a long and good vacation, and the thread is back online...
Season 8(2010-2011): End of season
Until october, I had to worry about my finances, but after some transfers out and loans in, I managed to get under my wage-budget-limit, without making my team only good enough for some Schoolboyleague.
However, this distraction from my work as ''tactical masterbrain'' made Dag&Red going up and down in the table like a jojo.
After some slight changes, we started going up in the league, but our progress halted at 4th, wathever we did, we didn't get higher, nor lower.
We got in a new striker and d/dm c for X-mas, and they were exactly what we needed. We suddenly became a killer-team and jumped to first position, and never gave it away.
Dag&Red are now officialy a 1st div team.
I got kicked out in the first round of every cup...
I got 12 players coming in, 9bosmans, 2freebies, and one for 97.5k€, and only 2 leaving, for a total of 1.3million€.
Ka-tsjing...
The board still don't want to improve the stadium, nor the training facilities.
Nigeria became world champions against Brazil(2-2, 4-3 on pen.)

season 9(2011-2012): end of season
Being 2.9k€ a week above my wage budget, my transfergain from the summer dissapeared like snow from the sun. Slightly depressed by this I decided to check my former team Walhain.
Bankrupt and a non-league team.
Suddenly felt much better...
All my signings made sure that I didn't had to worry about going down, so we had a nice mid-table season. We finished 10th, without ever really having a chance for a playoff spot.
The FA cup was a disaster with elimination after a 2-5 defeat against Vauxhall motors in the first round.
The league cup however was a big succes, we reached the semi's, defeating Leeds, Aston Villa and other teams, but didn't get past Englands reigning champions Burnley.(They have won the EPL, Facup, leaguecup, communityshield and the UEFAcup this season!!!:eek
I got some wow-players coming, including a 35y old Dutch ECL-winning goal scorer and also loaned a Portuguese wizz-kid from ManUtd, so I'm pushing for promotion next season.
