The way transfers work IRL in the FL - SI wanted to know this
I read a little while ago that someone was complaining that the game didn't take into account the rules regarding transfers in the Football League wasn't in the game. From what I remembered, SI said that the reason the rules weren't in the game was that they didn't know the full rules about the transfers.
Apparently, the Football League reject any transfers where the amount paid up-front is more than the club's turnover. It's not great information, but Barry Fry said something about it on the Posh official website.
