Why does this happen in every game? I'm talking about the likes of Scholes, Giggs, Maldini and Kahn, bonafide club legends being transfer listed... this would never happen irl.

so your saying you would play them at 38 years of age when you have a wonderkid in the same position. Who cares, it's not like they are real people playing in your game and their feelings will be hurt.

AI managers in this game dont give one hoot about feelings. they're virtual!

Have to admit, this is a major irritation for me. It's not a matter of whether they are real or not it's a matter of simulation, in a game where Bicfalvi will not leave Steaua in the first season because of his allegienece it seems totally stupid to have the likes of Giggs etc move on.

Look at Robbie Fowler in real life. We knew he could play at the top level any more so he went to Coventry still a kop lengend though

The difference is at 28 (I think) he was was sold to Leeds, so there was no way of him being a one club man. Giggs has played for UTD for 15 seasons straight, Scholes way over ten and same for Kahn. Maldini has been with Milan for 20 years! These players are one club people (except Kahn as Bayern signed him). Fowler has had 3 clubs and then went to Cardiff despite being a Kop Legend.

Included to agree - if the game simulates professional football then surely those rare players who show true loyalty/dedication to a club should be reflected in the game and play there then retire.

exactly, my point isn't about feelings or whatever, its about this game being a simulation. giggs, scholes and maldini would never ever in a million years be transfer listed by their club.

It's like Ferguson getting sacked for coming 3rd and Benitez being kept on when finishing 9th. This part of the game and the disastrous confidence section are what really gets me abou this game, nevermind all the other bugs.

I saved At. Madrid from relegation in 10 games (ended in 13th, they were 19th when I took over in Feb) and I was sacked for my disastrous league performance

More importantly, why do AI managers offer players contracts until they are 36, 37 or 38? They then sit in the stiffs with a value of about £10k but on £120,000 a week. It is just pure sillyness.
