I've been playing Football Manager 2007 for awhile now and started as Blyth. My goal starting out has been to get them to the premier league and become a power club. The other day we finally reached the Champ league and I realized I'm almost there. I'm from the US and until CM 03-04 never gave soccer any attention. But anyways now its one of my favorite sports. I wanted to know when we reach the Prem League what can I look forward to there other then not getting regulated. Are there more Cup competions or things like that. I'm still learning alot about English soccer and I've come a long way from getting fired from every job on CM. Thanks and go Blyth!

there arent any new cup competitions, apart from the obvious element of trying to qualify for European competition. However, you will find you dont enter the FA cup until the third round and the league cup until the 2nd round (3rd if youre in Europe). the added bonus of being in the Premiership is you're gate receipts should go up, and if you can escape relegation, your club will become infinitely more attractive to potential signings. well done, and good luck!! :thup:

A few extra competitions are available depending on your success:

If you win the Champions League or UEFA cup, you contest the European Super Cup at the start of the next season (where you will play the winner of the CL or UEFA, depending on which you won).

Also, if you win the Champions League, you then get to contest the Club World Cup against winners of other continental confederations competitions across the globe (CONACAF, CONMEBAL, CAF etc...)

It's because they have a cool name.

The difference between the Championship and the Premiership is quite a few million pounds, even if you do get relegated.
