The General Discussion forums is for talking about the game, not bugs. People are voicing their opinion about the ridiculous game FM08 is and its unfinished state. They have a right to speak, and so do the ones who praise it.

It will be like every other year, they wait until Feb 1 or early Feb just to satisfy the whingers that want an updated DB. Most of us would be a few or several years into a career game, an updated DB doesn't mean diddly squat.

I feel that because the OP made no attempt to make a logical point he deserves the response but if you write a thread and label dissidents "immature idiots", getting it closed would be pretty quick.

I didn't see you saying the same to Nomis who called the OP an idiot. You know why? Because Nomis was defending the game while the OP wasn't.

And truth be told, its those who praise the game who have NEVER any real arguments. Why? Because the game has so many mistakes. People who praise the game can only say "I don't mind the bugs".

Which is really pitiful and the reason why SI keeps releasing games in such state.

I agree with the idea of mini patches especially for confidence etc and it is really irritating that it was released with the bugs but I honestly can't find anything in the game that is so bad I wouldn't play it. IMHO it is still playable and whilst 3 months is far too long to wait for a solution but I still look forward to the amount of gaming i'll get done in the interim.

What got me about this post is that it would have to be dramatically flawed for it to be unplayable but then again this is the first version of the game in which I have used a patch and I still found it's predecessors just as playable. </BLOCKQUOTE>

the problem with multiple mini patches is that it increases the amount of different patches that every one is running which i would asume makwa it more difficult to track down bugs.

someones running 8.01, 2 weeks later they release 8.02 but somepeople dont download it, 2 weeks later they release 8.03.

also you can't really do multiple mini patches unless you know for a fact that the changes dont have a knock on effect elsewhere in the program.

i praise the game because it's a great game. i praise SI because i know they made this great game which has a development time of about 1 year.
i dont deny bugs exist but i have faith that SI will fix them because they have always fixed them.
i'm enjoying the game currently and have racked up agood 20 hours.
if they release the final patch which makes the game perfect at the end of january i will still get many many more hours enjoyment out of it, far more than any other game.

Because the one is labelled "idiot" in this case is just a soul-less whiner who deserves it. As for you, you criticise all who attempt to explain why they appreciate some area of the game with reason. Besides, generalising ain't helping.

Initially, when I saw the title of this thread, I was very worried. SI are what make FM what it is. Without SI, the franchise will go the same way that CM went and then, all of you fanboys/SI-haters/others, we will have a game in the same league as CM and Fifa Man.

Its like comparing a merc and a vw beetle - the merc may have problems when first released, and every so often there will be a model with more problems than usual, but to consider selling the brand to another manufacturer is just foolishness.

I say to SI - KUTGW and thank you for the best news of the new year - that this is just a rant and not a factual account

SI is the best company creative and technically wise to do the football manager game, the only problem I see with them is that they are a one game company which forces to rush a new FM each year in order to make money to survive the year instead of taking the time needed to do a better game

Did you label him soul less idiot? What gives you the right? Because for me, soul less idiots are the ones who overlook major problems with this game and don't do anything to change the state of things.
