A better standard than those many companies who wash their hands of the bugs once you've paid.
The registration bug will be fixed and it makes sense to consolidate all fixes into one patch rather than issue a confusing series of mini patches. </BLOCKQUOTE>
The poor state of FM08 cannot be excused by the lack of quality/support in competing products.
I just hope SI dont have the attitude of "Oh well, its still better than the rest".
As for the single patch- I think you'll find most people would just like fixes now, whether they come in mini-patches or not.
A wait of 3 months after release is pretty poor, especially if SI are sitting on fixes for some of the game spoiling issues.
If they are not sitting on fixes then it just goes to show what an unfinished state the game was released in. </BLOCKQUOTE>
At last a post with some sense in it. Thanks George.
My thoughts on this are that the paying customers are disappointed by FM08 because we have come to expect better from SI.
If you take FM and stand it against the competition only, then it stands up well. However if you follow the history of FM and compare each new version against it's predecessor then it in my opinion it does come out badly.
It's not that 08 is a bad game or in any way unplayable it's just not quite good enough to warrant the extra money etc. Combine that with a few of the adverse features (read bugs) that still exist and you get the stupid rantings of the op.
