I have managed 3 spanish clubs in the spanish second division who have all offered me good ammount of money for transfers and wages. However when i accept and join the club it always end up with them giving me no money for transfers or wages so im always getting £110k over £0 as a wage budget. This builds up a pretty big debt quickly.
Is this meant to happen or is something wrong? btw i have the newest patch installed!!!
yeh i didn't think it was supposed to happen. I started game from unemployed then went to cowdenbeath did well there for 4 years then have been at 3 spanish clubs which i cant get up and running because of this. I think it eventully gives me money for wages at end of season when they give you your budget for the next. The problem is if you join mid season they work up a hell of a debt which basically means you have to sell all your players to keep afloat in the next season.
Well thanks for telling me it is a bug. Shame like i hardly ever post on the forums regarding problems. Have been playing these games since the ancient champ mans. FM 08 has been ok though has had alot of basic problems. BTW i am now in recevership because of this lol and half my team has been released on frees. Hopefully at end of season it will finally correct itself and actually give me a wage budget.
I hope SI will please sort it out when they have a chance. I dont like to complain and havent really had anthing to complain about untill now having mainly been playing in the scottish leagues which are ok and basically problem free.
Easy way round it is when offered the job check the job security screen it will tell you what their finances are like. That way if they are offering you £24m to spend but their finance only says "okay" or "secure" on the job security screen you'll know you won't actually get that much.
But this is of course too much effort for some of the above. I have yet to see a laughing stock, laughing all the way to the bank as they maintain their status as top selling managment sim lol.
A bug or is it just a coincidence?
