Default suggestion for fm09 regarding corner instructions

this has most likely been suggested before but i'll say it anyway.

While playing fm08 and previous fms i have become frustrated that i have to constantly change individual 'attacking corners' instructions everytime i make a change in the team as different players have different skills.

I have given up constantly changing these tactics and now i just hope for the best. Heres an example; When playing with Manchester United i like to have rooney and ronaldo swapping positions. Therefore telling ronaldo to be in the box for corners (go forward), as he is great in the air, only means that everytime him and rooney swap positions they also swap instructions causing rooney to attempt to win headers and ronaldo to to lurk outside the area.

This also occurs when you make a change to your starting line-up. For example you might have a small fast full back, whos not that great in the air, as your 1st choice and you may decide to rest him and play a tall commanding player and unless you change it he will have 'stay back' as his instruction wasting his arial talent.

I propose that each player is given a list in which you can order the instrucions in preference e.g. cristiano ronaldo: 1. Go forward 2. attack near post 3. attack far post 4. attack from deep 5. lurk outside area.
Then the cpu decides the best combination (not to many players carrying out each instruction). This could obviously be done for defending corners aswell.

Obviously i understand that this will not be easily implemented, however i think something needs to be done about the problem.

I hope you all understand. Thanks.

agree 100% mate

IMO all players should be set certain instructions , therefore just for that player , not the position .

Definetly agreed. Player not position instructions should be introduced. This would hopefully be possible to introduce even in the next patch not the next version.

One small step for SI team great leap for user-friendliness.

Let me see if I've got this right - asking a player to swap position with another causes them to swap their individual instructions? That can't be right surely? You're not actually swapping the players on the tactics screen are you?

Secondly you propose 5 settings per instruction? With 6 different set piece situations that's 30 instructions per player and 330 per team  My games take long enough as it is thanks.
