My contract is running out and I was wondering do I have to actually ask the board for a new one for them to offer me one? I ask because the season has now virtually finished and I have less than two months left on the old one. I would expect them to offer me a new one as they seem pretty pleased with me, although whether I accept it or not is another matter...
What I mean is I haven't asked for one yet as I'm waiting to see if any other clubs come in for me first. But I might stay at my current club so if you have to ask a month in advance or whatever then it would be useful to know.

Of course they think I deserve it. Ignoring my exploits in the FA and league cup they're thrilled that I enjoyed the experience of participating in the Johnstones Paint trophy (and who wouldn't be?)
