I have FM2008 running on my PC which is not that old and now it shuts down when I am using it with the message Football manager has run out of memory and will now close! I am only 1/2 way through my 1st season and are using a medium database. What the hell is going on as this has never happened before?

I've been monitoring FM08 and how much memory it uses. I have not had the "run out of memory" yet but FM08 constantly runs using over 800,000 K. I have 1.5gb of total memory. When FM08 has been up to 930,000 K at the maximum I seen it only left 10,000 K free left on my system.

Not sure but it seems the longer the game runs it continues to use huge amounts of memory, maybe a memory leak that doesn't properly release memory (data cached)???

I've tried and it is the same on my desktop, both similarly equipped machines

Post your specs. What other programs are you running at the same time? Perhaps disabling some of these will help with your 'out of memory' errors.
