I'm very close to ditching FM 08. Seriously, its just no fun anymore.
Just been sacked from spurs in Mar 08.(patched save) This has followed sackings in two separate man city saves. (pre-patch)
I did have a 2 season Seville save on the go but my laptop was wiped.
It wastes too much time and effort to see a game effectively lost and nothing I try seems to change things. I'm in a dark place.
Started reading these forums a while back (not the good player etc) and I've experienced the lot; the 1v1 anoyance, signing highly rated players to no effect, signing coaches with seemingly no benefit, an inability to score, super keepers.....
I don't fancy going for a top team as I want some sort of sense of achievement, but the idea of LLM manager seems too gargantuan.
I am fully aware that many others have similar sentiments.
So, to get to the point, maybe my question, as I stare watery-eyed into the screen, is has anyone made it through the darkness and rediscovered that wonderful game that I played back in my teenage years? Is there light at the other side? Are the sliders functional? Have I just lost the knack?
Hmm, my vague memories of past successes may indeed be tinted pink.... lol

Yeah it's simple: install the first beta patch. It's the only version without any major game ruining bugs (to the best of my knowledge) and hence the most playable, and approaches some level of enjoyment.

*Sigh* The OP has stated in a non rant type of way that he having a few issues. Yet you reply with that garbage. I can see why the forums are turning into a cess pit as we speak.
patsyBlah - Ignore idiots who reply to a decent post like that.
