Amazing... you don't care if the game is unplayable to others? ...it is so sad that it isn't even funny

I assume the reason a fix for the Spanish Registration problem hasn't materialised is down to two things:

1. It's an incredibly difficult and complicated fix, and needs a lot of time to get right and test

2. It's, at least in part, avoidable if you pay attention to the news items. Sure you don't get to play your B or C squad, but you still have the 25 registered players from your first team, and any players on youth contracts can be used in emergencies.

I wont be buying/joining FMLive, even if it's a 'perfect' game. At the end of the day, FM08 should be their priority. And I also think I've learnt a hard lesson here... I will not be buying FM2009 until the 9.0.2 patch has been released in Feb 2009. With FM07 on the xbox360 being a complete farce (though fm07 with 702 patch was ace) and now fm08 on pc being completely unplayable in the leagues you want to play in, it makes you actually wonder what the next installment will be like.

It's quite simple. All my mates and close relatives have FM08 - thats around 20 odd people. My cousin of the same age is presently Sunderland, two of my uncles are chelsea, I'm now AC Milan after Sevilla became unplayable, and all the rest prefer playing in Spain. We're a close knit family and regarding my mates? We usually keep ourselves updated on how we are fairing.

FM and FML are two different products. They have two entirely seperate budgets and two entirely seperate development teams*

*with the exception of Paul C, who provides the same match engine for both.

As for the xbox360, the lack of patch was not a decision made by SI or Sega - you can blame Microsoft for that one.

FM08 is certainly not completely unplayable in any league.

That is the spirit. If a product is disappointing, you don't keep buying it. Stop buying the game, as I have, when it is released (and wait for 2 patches at least), and you will see how SI will feel the need to make a working product.
