sorry if i'm in the wrong part of the forum but i dunno if anyone can help.

been playing fm08 since it came out and went to load it up again earlier and it now loads to the main menu bit before it a message pops up saying "Unable to find the Football Manager CD". It is in the drive!

I've finally got Southend United into the Prem League in 2013 and wanna play. any help please.

bought from game just after it came out.
i no it looks fishy! lol. i got the patch a few days ago but it had been running fine with the patch for a while. i dunno whether the fact i run it in a window would make a difference. changing the target of the shortcut????

I know nothing about computers but maybe you could run the game as administrator or something?

tried running as admin, still comes up with the same message. the weird thing is that when u try to play the game forgetting to put the disc in, it prompts you to insert the cd before the game starts up. and that's not happenin now. would the patch have changed this???
