I have the same resolution, and mine is the same as yours.

Its impossible for the screen to display fully when windowed at 1280x800.

oh well. there should be an option to change the text size of the attributes

Try to click & drag & drop the control bar (or whatever it is called at the bottom with the start button) to the side of the screen. Maybe that will make enough room for the attributes.
