I was noodling around with the editor there recently and wanted to see how my club (Liverpool) would get on if I were to flood their youth team with potential World-Beaters.
So I changed every single youth players PA to -10 and started a new game.
I saved the game and popped into the FM Scout to have a look into the future of my super kids and was somewhat disappointed to find that despite some players having "Truly rare talent" circa. PA195 etc, they apparently don't really turn out very good at all. I'd have been inclined to sell them and in some cases just release them without signing them to professional contracts.
Also - a few players, despite being given a PA of -10 in the editor, actually had a PA in the 170's.
How is this? Is -10 not a random number between 180 and 200?
My guess is that because their CA was so low, there is no way they'd develop enough to reach the 180's and over?
I suppose then my question is how to create superstar kids that actually Turn into Superstars?
Is there anyway to set the player so they start out just like any other kid but develop into stars?
Or do they have to be good to begin with, precocious, ala Cesc Fabregas?
Any help/thoughts/info greatly appreciated.

Well answer your question about how the potential went down to 170, it's the lowest threshhold of the potential -10 Potential.
