Well, as the topic says, I'm looking to get the best out of Kaka. I signed him in this transfer window.

I imagine he plays best in a 4-4-1-1, 4-2-3-1, or 4-4-4 diamond. What individual instructions would you use on a Kaka/Ronaldinho/Aimar/Totti/etc. type player? And what team instructions bring the best out of them? Is it a good idea to give them a free role/set them as playmakers?

Hmm, that's what I have on him now, but on my 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-1-1 he doesn't seem to see a lot of the ball.

I'm playing Real Madrid, btw.

And my midfield/attack look more or less like this:

We're getting the results early in the season but we don't seem to be playing that well. Cristiano Ronaldo, HiguaÃ*n, Gago and Gareth Bale seem to be in great form, just like my defense.

But I can't really get my AMC to get involved in play, whether it's Kaká or Granero (youth player, he's got great stats) or whoever is playing - and if I tell my players to play through the middle we lose the ball a lot.

What should I do?

Bah, that ended up looking ugly. HiguaÃ*n's meant to be at CF, not left CF.

for clarification is diarra and gago cm's and robinho aml kaka amc and cronaldo amr and higuaÃ*n cf?

the only thing i would use is a farrow, but i dunno where(fr or fl) try using diagonal farrows on wingers(bobbybamber wrote a thread about this its good)

Yes. Diarra and Gago as CMs, Robinho AML, Kaka AMC, C. Ronaldo AMR, HiguaÃ*n CF.

And alright, thanks. I'd check that as well as this topic if there are any other suggestions. However, I don't think using a farrow would be such a good idea, since one of the reasons why he doesn't get the ball is that sometimes he gets too much/early into the penalty area rather than staying back a bit to create.

Anyone else who has experience with AMCs?

ok mate you could try lowering his mentality and making him playmaker as you aren't counter attacking also try a free role, but i'm not great with kaka never had him! so yeah, c'mon guys and girls help a fella out!

Any other suggestions? I can't seem to get my AMCs to perform...

Whenever I have used him I have given him a free role and made him a playmaker. Also his creative freedom is on 16.

I think mentality is dependent on the team layout but obviously he is gonna be near to the attacking boundary.

As a result of my settings, he sees a lot of the ball and because he is a top player he distributes it well. It might also be worth making him run with it and do forward runs.

Either way thats how I play with him ;-) And he does just fine
