Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

So which is it? Tactics are a waste of time or they're too sensitive? Or is it both? </BLOCKQUOTE>

It can be both, why not. I think what everyone is trying to say here is that if you can use the default tactics and have much success then trying to spend time creating your own is wasting time. Also because of the sliders you have to adjust when tweaking and then seeing that the results those tweaks make them sensitive. For as many notches as we have on them, sometimes they are too sensitive. You can go from good to bad by one or two notches in the wrong direction, and there are 19 or 18 notches left.

So I think this is the general concensus here. Use default tactics with which you don't have to fiddle around with tweaking of the sliders, which is both easy and takes much less time.

Hes right. I won the league 8 time sin a row with Arsenal and the champions league 6 times in a row. Dont change the tactics at all really. the derult tactics you start with are the ones which suit the club most formation wise. Slightly alter them for better results but not a lot.

Hate to say this too Cleon but come on, winning the league with Sheffield United just brings unrealism into the game and moreso in the first season. I think they should do it more like the highest ranking that Sheffield United can get and etc..

No offence to Cleon but can you really win the league with Sheffield United IRL? I don't think so or else I would've saw Cleon Hobson as Sheffield United boss tomorrow. Having said that, I think Cleon's sheffield united thread is a very good thread and give others insights on how he builds his strategies ahead of the game.

Back to the topic now, I personally do not believe you can use a default tactic to bring Atletico such success without buying any good players at least. With top sides like Chelsea and Liverpool, you don't have to touch the tactics screen and whoop someone 4 nil or something like that but it doesn't bring much life to the game now does it?
