Stumbled upon this tactic when chasing game with 30mins to go.

My team is as follows :

GK Ustari/Ochoa
RB VanDen Borre
LB Baines/Bale
CB Garay/ Schmoller
CB Richards
DM Denilson/Gago (in CM position with Back Arrow)
AMC Gourcouff/Moutinho
AMR Ben Arfa/Cardenas (Forward Arrow)
AML Guardado/Silva (Forward Arrow)
STR Vela/Okaka
STR Aguero/Bojan

Im in 2008 season.

Play an attacking game, defensive line normal, width normal, short passing.

Anyone else play a similar way and had any success?

Can anyone reccommend any improvemnets i could make, or any players i should like to sign to maximise this tactic?

thats a very good team you have. my only suggestion would be to buy giovanni do santos & play him in a free role in the hole. also change your wingers to cross from byline. i'm suprised to see gago behind denilson in the pecking order. what team are you? i can't tell because your team has been entirely bought.

I think you'll get beaten with this formation by 4-3-3.Did you play against 4-3-3?

Im Leeds, in 2010 now. with this formation finished third in premiership (2nd in 2009) just won the champions league and FA cup.

Gago and denilson are rotated.

Have to say Bojan and Cardenas have been disappointing, maybe its too early for them?

Just bought Nani and Lucas and Ratinho. Trying to buy Marcelo but hes at Milan and they wont sell. He is absolute class left back/wing back.

Have played against every formation with success. sometimes if im defending a lead i take off the player behind the front two and put another defensive midfielder in (denilson and gago in tandem) or if im chasing a game i go three at the back and either put in another defensive midfielder or play a 3-1-4-2 (with four advanced attacking midfielders)

Sold Moutinho as he was really poor for me and Milan offered me silly money so had to accept. Bought Raul Garcia as a replacement.

A good squad there, difficult to keep them all happy, i rotate players quite a bit so they all get some games (really needed the squad with all the cup games, champions league and a crippling injury list)

how did u get all those players for leeds in 3 years?

Im with leicester and 3rd season still have 60% of orginal team even with 5m each season with the chairmen letting me spend as muchas i like.

Got promoted in first season via the playoffs, bought and sold wisely. Finished 2nd and 3rd in Premiership in respective seasons won the FA cup and Champions league also. Most of the players i bought can be bought cheaply if timed right. The expensive players i have bought just recently. I have also had a takeover of the club which happened in 2nd season after promotion.

Update regarding my tactic played 20 and top of premiership by 6 points. Slightly tweaked my tactic. I know give my AML, AMR, AMC free roles and set the AMR to swap position with AMC and the AML to also swap position with AMC. Keeps the opponents guessing and with Ben Arfa, Nani, and Gourcuff both wide men are able to play through the centre. Works very well i must say.
