hmm, I would lower the width if you lose possession a lot in the middle.
IRL Barcelona plays ultra wide when in possession, often having 4 players hugging the lines more or less and the rest of the players spread out in between, and rather normal defensivly, but still covering the wings.
Width along with tempo are
IMO the most challenging parts to recreate a barcelona tactic since they vary so much in game.
Upping the tempo might be a good idea to bring the ball upfront faster, you probably want ronaldinho, messi, deco or xavi to bring the magic to the game and not have puyol and marquez pass the ball around, but try first
IRL they play it rather slowish but with quick breaks in tempo, mainly to suck the defence into thinking they are safe and then strike hard and fast, lovely when it works booring as watching paint dry against a really good organized team. I think slow passing with mixed TTB on all midfielders might be a way of recreating this, but not sure...
The defensive line might be a bit high, could be my pesimistic mind, but since puyol is really the only defender with good pace, and going with a semi-high d-line might see you getting outpaced when/if he is beaten.
IRL they try to keep the d-line so that the DM is the one mainly chasing the ball, when the other team are in possession around the middle circle, the d-line is usually hovering around the penalty line.
Also I would go for a bit higher on closing down to take advantage of the pace you have upfront even in defence.
IRL They are very agressive, and being a bit more cautious when playing away.
I'm not a big fan of playmakers, especially in a team with such immense talent across the board.
IRL barca uses Xavi as a sort of playmaker but he is not the only one who plays the killers.
Also unsure about the offside trap, I don't believe Barca plays one IRL either.
Have you set eto'o as target man? I don't think he is used as one in real life, but crosses are surely made so he can run onto them, so having him set but not using him as one could be right
Best of Luck!
