As in the topic i am managing Watford,as inspired by cleon in his sheffield united thread.Personally have digested alot of information by then so i decided to give it a go.

I have try out my players and allow them to gel during my pre season friendlys here are the results..

1st Game Vs Newcastle

That was my 1st game in the EPL,i was at the match screen b4 the game started so i decided to put some opposition instructions on their strikers martins and rossi,basically just to stop this 2 from getting behind my defence and scores.As this 2 are fast strikers,i drop my D line a little back.

3 - 0 up during the 1st half and i knew i am doing the right stuff so i decided now to tweak it. 2nd half one of my players send a back pass and was intercept by martins and newcastle got one back.. but nevertheless i decided not to change anything as i feel i am the dominant side for the whole match,and i manage to score a furthur 2 goals.Oh ya forget to mention i play with a Target man,as i thought i am up against a gd side so i need to keep the ball as much as possible in the attacking half.so overall 5 - 1 i am happy with the results

Sorry have no time to put a screen shot for my players mentalitly etc... Will up the screenshot when i have time.

Anyway it is not important of my players mentalitly etc... crux is like what cleon says,u need to know and understand how AI plays and u need to Counter them.Now i still experimenting and learning how they play...lol so i cant teach much..i am just trying to prove Cleon's Therory

Basically,my scouts told me they are vulnerable to pace and crosses.So i decided to play wide for this game for boro and try to whip in as many crosses as possible.

Score line

1 - 1 says the scores,my player missed a penalty,and i should have won this game easily as i am the dominant force throughout the game.

Look at the shots i have,compare to them,and my crosses made..but still i cant take this 3 pts,which i feel it might cost me alot.

Basically this are my instructions for my players,howevery i do change them for game to game,eg: their closing down,or fwd runs..etc . Base on players fit for that day...

Here i gonna post some of the results from where i left off at Boro.Vs Reading
I only manage a draw with reading as my strikers are missing clear cut chances..And i feel i should have taken all the 3 pts as reading should be one of the easiest opponent to deal with.(I went Attacking,tempo quick,direct,and drop deep)

Vs Sheff Utd
This game against sheff utd only manage to carve out a 1 - 0 win.And lucky for me i manage to defend out what they throw at me,and got this 3 pts.(Attacking,Quick,Direct,drop Deep)

Vs Liverpool

What a game this was,i took a 3 goal lead,b4 they started throwing everything to me,i was nervous,but lucky enuff,they only manage to got 2 goals back,and precious 3 pts in my bag..
(Same for here i drop deep, attacking quick tempo with direct passing)

League Cup vs Ipswich

Nothing much here,league cup and i go with my 2nd line up,just to rest my players, a win for me.

Vs Bolton

This actually was one of my tougest match.But i feel i deserve a draw at least,cos i gave off a stupid penatly,and my keeper making 2 errors and which result the 3 - 1 loss. This was the only loss i suffered so far.

Vs Fulham
I should have won this game easily,but a 88min scorcher from 35 yards brought them a draw..

Vs Man City
A deserved win for me 1 - 0,Although 2nd half i endure everything they throw to me,4-2-4,2-3-5 formation,basically i hold strong and came out with the victory.

vs Arsenal
This was one of my greatest game so far.1 - 1 draw.1st half i went 1 - 0 down,and 17th min got a left winger sent off,so i pull back ashley young to left side can cont the game.At 1st i went defensive,deep,Quick tempo,and direct passing,but i feel that wasnt working.So i make changes,instead of going defensive,i decided to change to Attacking.And this prove that it works well,i got a equaliser in the 55th min,and hold strong and sturdy for every shots they throw at me,at the end around 80+ mins,thru a counter attack,my striker was 1 v 1 agains lehmann,but composure not enough,i suppose,it clips the bar and went out. i thought i should have come out with a win instead.Ok 1 - 1 actually quite ok a result for a side like Watford with one man down.

League Cup vs Everton
Nothing much about this league Cup,as my piority is the League.Anyway manage to come out with a win.

League Table
So far,i am standing at 6th,with one lost only(thanks god)But i feel the result is not Good enough,as some of the matches i feel i should have won the game,esp the game vs bolton,i should not lost it.So far tweaking brought me some excitement and results,but i feel that my defence is not as strong as how Cleon did his.i had a hard time doing defensive work,and i am leaking goals.It seems tough to keep a clean sheet,i wonder where it went wrong?Was it the mentality of the players?or the closing down?i hope i will have the answers soon.
