While I know we all create or download specific training schedules for DC's, wingers, strikers etc, do you mix and match your schedules throughout a year and for specific age bands??
That may not be clear, so to clarify, I set all my players to the standard pre-season when they return to training, then around midway through 5 or 6 friendlies (late July) I set them to specific programs and leave them there for the whole season (except for U20's who remain on 'general' training).
So my questions are really...
Do you leave players on specific training schedules all year, or do you put them back on 'general' training every so often?
Is it a good idea to leave the under 20's on general, or should we boost what they're good at by putting them on specific schedules?
So do you tinker a lot, or leave things unchanged all season??
