Well you know your teams ticking along, that big money aquisition is banging them in left right and sometimes centre (if it bounces off the keeper back to him that is). Then BAM!!! 6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6..... ARGH!!!!!! He's getting 10 shots a game, open goals, even penalties, but your lad STILL can't score.
I've tried getting angry with him, but that didn't help. Then I tried wrapping a blanket round him and easing the pressure a bit, but still he can't hit a warehouse from inside!
Consider telling him you are going to rest him for a week/month... He might simply need a break from play...
One thing I have noticed is that it takes a fair bit for players to get angry about being dropped thus the need for telling them they are in for an extended rest must effect something other then that... Maybe its a bit of poor form...
use the "player interaction" option ... tell him that you are deeply angry with his performance, see his answer in the media, and then do what you think it's better to do ... rest him or play him
