Has anyone else found that whatever they do they can't find success with the top league clubs? It seems whatever team I choose I manage to never hit expectations.

When I take charge of one of the smaller clubs, I seem to destroy any expectations the club had and completely re-shape them into a team capable of promotion, whether they've been asked to avoid relegations, be promoted or just find a safe spot.

I have had success on both ends. I failed on both ends more often though than I succeeded.

I'm generally pathetic when it comes to any team with more than £5 million transfer kitty. Unless I'm at a team on the verge of bankrupcy, I get sacked.

The last time I had real success with a big team was in 97/98. The reason I think we have a hard time is

1) We don't go and buy the same players at the start of the game that we know are 'super' players.

2) We don't use super tatics.

3) Having more than one person in the squad that can kick a ball in a straightish line is a novelty.

I think thats it!

4) Having a goalie that can stop even a backpass would help

Ahhh, don't remind me. >_< I even had Fatty Arbuckle in on loan and he still managed to let four backpasses by him during the season. I let him off though because he saved my ass enough times, then I sent him home when he got injured. Bastard.
