2021/22 Norwich League One
With most of the bad apples being thrown off the cart, we (at last) welcomed 11 Bosman signings. This took our wage bill to £300k p/w, gave us odds of 2-1, board expectation of promotion and made me quietly to loudly confident. Then I noticed that, without being told, the budget had been slashed to £210k! I decided to carry on as we needed to get out of this league, in order to stabilise the finances anyway.
After 15 games we were 10 points clear at the top and just coasted through the rest of the season, taking the title with 6 games left. The highlights were a 3-1 away victory at
Prem Birmingham in the FA Cup and my usual tight defence conceding only 18 goals in the league. I also had my first Premiership job offer, when Southampton came knocking. I turned this down due to their Chairman being an egotistical twunt (I'm great at job interviews).
No Barrow next season in the Championship, sadly. They didn't help themselves by taking 22 months to replace me! Or by not bothering to buy or re-contract any players. This left them with a squad of 13, 6 of whom were rubbish juveniles, and last place.

Manager of the Year (undeserved)
Not sure about next year, as the wage limitations have prevented many of the squad re-signing as of yet. Even in the worst case scenario, we look OK for survival but a
Prem challenge looks a few seasons away. Ipswich lost in the EC play-offs (what a shame) so a rivalry renewed back in the Championship awaits.
