Sorry did not mean to offend but RVN is *NOT* player naming as if you use the search engine on FM no player will not appear so anyone who knows what RVN relates too ALREADY KNOWS him!!!
Player naming is player naming - there are no qualifications and certainly not that one.

No, no and yes. But hey, it's your game. Do as you want (just remember to not tell us if it contravenes the LLaMa ethos).
Think that is probably the best answer you're going to get.
But you'd still scout him to see how he is or how he plays. At least I would. To bring in a player blindly is utter folly IMHO and quite unrealistic.
Imagine the scene:
Gaffer: Chairman, I've just put a bid for team X player. He's what we need, definitely.
Chairman: So, how does he look? Is he strong in the air? Does he play more tricks than the devil himself?
Gaffer: Erm... dunno, but that ain't important!!! He's been scoring goals for fun in the Premiership reserve league.
Chairman: Has our scout recommended him?
Gaffer: Not really, but I don't trust what he says. We all know he's pish anyway.
Chairman: So, you basically are bringing in a complete gamble who could disrupt our dressroom ambience because you say so. And besides have the guts to tell me that our scout, who's been working for 8 seasons with us, is pish according to you?! And who are you Mr.Nobody? Were where you two weeks ago when we signed you?

Gaffer: Err...
Ok point taken but how about this:
Gaffer: Chairman we have our best striker out injured for the season and we got a big game tomorrow and we need a quick replacement and i mean quick!! Im keen to take player X from Bristol City (local team) who has banged in 25 goals already this season in there reserves and he just scored a hat-trick the other day is it ok to take him on loan?
Chairman: Of course it is bloody hell hes scored 25 goals if they will let us have him even for 1 game go and get him!!!
Gaffer: Ok thanks just thought Id check with you as we dont HAVE TIME TO SCOUT him.
That is what im trying to get at. </BLOCKQUOTE>
In reality, a manager would have his scouts out all the time, and would have already recommended you several possible signings.
I always have one scout roaming the UK and Ireland, another scouting the next opposition and the other available for any other scouting requirements I may have. Three scouts is probably too many, but if you find a youngster on a free transfer you can sign and sell a year later for £100k, it pays off.
Mate you clearly have justified your case to yourself so play it your way. Nobody has a problem with that. Hey, I'm sure you'd still be welcome here if you kept your treacherous ways to yourself
The LLM hardcore have forged their beliefs over years and you won't change them, maybe not even if you're right. They're probably more unchallengable than Rolf Harris' status as a legend.
I bend the LLM rules. I've even been known to break them in specific circumstances when it seems unrealistic not to. Its my/your game and my/your world. I know its a weird quirk that the LLM rules are not open for debate and many people struggle to understand why but you have to understand that when the same arguments get recycled over and over again it can start to grate a bit.
Still, once you've made over 1000 posts, people may start to listen more. Who knows? I've only made about 7 so I'm not really in a position comment.
