There have been a couple of guys who used fake players but nobody was really happy about it, since the players aren't really random at all. It just takes you a couple of minutes to find out who is who.
Anyway, if you do, you
a.) can't post a story. We don't do stories here. You can decide to do an update though. That's just a quick summary of a season, how crap you were, and other remarkable events. Just a few lines, maybe two paragraphs, nothing more. In English.
b.) Even if the player names are fake, you can't use them. Others might not realize that it's fake players and be attempted to name real ones suddenly, an effect known as the "Floodgate Scenario".
Enjoy your game.

You can rave about how crap you were, but if you're succesful - no raving, just a quick mention You will quickly learn if you stick around that player names are not required. 21yo Spanish AML works just as well as <player name>
Oh yeah, and if you haven't already RTFH
Look forward to your (3 season) update

I tend to use non-real players and will be doing so when 06 comes out. In the lower leagues, everyone is crap so you've got more chance of guessing the 5th carriage number on the 15:15 london to glasgow express! For me, it makes it my world and even if BillyBob from the Congo does look a certain Mr Spoony...

I think that the beauty of it - you can end up with a Latvian international that makes the season even more exciting when most of your squad get international call ups!
