Have been doing LLM since i have been playing champ man and now football manager. My 1st game on FM2006 and i take over Montrose in Scottish Div 3. Oh my.. They are not the best are they. After a long time setting up my part time training schedules (i like this feature) and tactics we embark on the friendlies and its quite promising. A couple of additions up front that were found by my scouts in the scottish non league look to be half decent and grab a couple of goals each.
Into the season and its a mixed bag really. I have success against the sides at the top of the table and struggle against those at the bottom. I never managed to beat East Stirling once!! Yet cowdenbeath lost 6 games all season and 4 were to me... I was in with a chance of the playoffs until 2 games from the end which left the board and fans delighted at my performance. My scout looks to have turned up a few more gems as well that are joining in the summer so maybe next year we can make the playoffs. Fingers crossed.
One thing i have found is my team keeps saying i dont give them enough credit. Guess im a demanding manager... Also all the other managers are annoyed with me for some reason. Oh well onwards and upwards. Heres to next year.. East Stirling you had better watch out!!
