…that was my initial reaction. I won my first 3 league match convincingly and cursed SI for making the game too easy. At Xmas I was in 3rd spot and while I thought it still might be easier than other incarnations of the game at least I wasn’t having it all my own way. Well a cr@p run of form after Xmas saw me slide down the league but I recovered at the end of season to finish a reputatable 9th in Conference South. Frustrating as it was to see me team loose at least I could see that it wasn’t going to be too easy to get promoted.

I have only played one season so far but the game seems to be very good, and the difficulty level seems to be about right, not p:ss easy and not crippelingly difficult.

I would like to know how other Llama’s are finding the difficulty level a few years in to the game.

If I post this in any other forum I will get hammered with Chelski won the champions league for the 10th time in a row using super tactis and an edited database or some poor old first time who just got sacked because he got the Mancs religated, I just want to find out from a Llama point of view how they rate the difficulty down the road… Thx

I'm only in the 2nd season, but I think the difficulty is right on the money. You can't walk to promotions anymore, which is GREAT! But you won't get overrun either, unless you're a tactical ******. Oh wait...

I can't say much so far, as I've only played a bit more than a season. I think the difficulty is just fine - it's maybe easier than it would be given the circumstances of a hopeless team but after all it's a game and we all want to achieve at least non-relegation ;-)

i'm half way through my second season. both have begun with poor form but steadily improved.

i managed to win the conference north in the first season, but this was more to do with all the other teams being poor than my team playing well - i only won half of my games.

so overall maybe slightly easier than i expected it to be, but my club aren't the worst so that might be why (and i've probably just been lucky so far!).

one problem i've found is that it's too easy not only to sell players, but to sell them for too much money.

That could be related to db size, are you playing with a small db?

normal database, with a lot of leagues.

same size database as i always used on fm05.

Too hard, too easy, just right??? For every person who flies into first place by christmas, another can't win a game until then.

Let's have a moritorium on this type of discussion until the game has been out for a little while, let's say until next year. What do we all think?
