Geordie -

Saw your post in mine....BPA is tough at times and very frustrating. No bets here as right now my team is doing it with mirrors and lights (and not a lot of talent).

Its a fun team to play with though, good luck from here in rainy/snowy California.

No problem, South Bay - was just kidding about the bet ! Good luck to you with your game as well - I'll be keeping an eye on your progress.

Well, have just finished season 2 with BPA, and have been promoted to the Conference via the playoffs ! Had an average start to the season, but results picked up after I brought in a few key loan signings. Carlisle eventually won the league, by around 8 points, with me finishing in 2nd. Onto the lottery of the playoffs, but managed to come through unscathed, beating Kingstonian 2-0 in the North/South final.

I've essentially got a team of youngsters, who are doing very well for me, but I know I'm going to have to bring in some experienced heads for my first season in the Conference. As an aside, I did make the first round of the FA Cup, and the 4th round of the Trophy.

Finances still aren't great, but I'm managing to keep them spiralling out of control. I've had various job offers, from the likes of Hartlepool, Darlington, Wycombe, St Johnstone and Morton, but have fended them off thus far. I must admit, I am tempted to move onto bigger and better things though - depends on how I go with BPA in the coming season. Hopefully, a relegation fight will not be an issue.

I must love my BPA so much (well I should do after 14 days' gametime). I turned down the Bradford City job no probs, but then I was tipped by the media for the Doncaster job - transfer budget £2.2million, plus big increase in wage budget. I hit the no comment button and the next news item was the draw for the 3rd round of the FA Cup - Doncaster away to ManU!!!

And when the offer came in I refused  Well the wee guys grow on you - I know my ickle squad so well I could tell you their inside leg measurements

And we'll be playing league football some day - don't know when but we'll be there

I don't know whether knowing their inside leg measurements is actually a good thing

The bigger jobs are indeed tempting. I guess it shows I must be doing something right for the offers to come in. Doing this is a real challenge - on a previous game I managed to take Altrincham all the way to the Championship. I wonder if I can do that with Bradford PA ? Will be more of an achievement if I can, surely ?

It's possible BG, it surely is.

I've just had 2 14-hr sessions over the weekend and I found my beloved BPA up against league opposition for the first time, in the FA Cup.

1st round against Peterboro came back from 0-2 down to force a replay, won in extra time.
2nd round - our game of the century, away to local baddies Bradford City. Came back from 0-2 down to force a replay, won it.
3rd Round went out on penalties to Hull after a replay.

Finances are well flush now, but more to the point the boys really grew up and after three years we're starting to dream. I gave them all extensions to their contracts after such a feat.

Gates have trebled now we're on a roll in the Conf National; everything is feeling GOOD! Yup, you can find yourself deeply attached to your Parkies
