| Yup - I think that's the hardest thing sometimes - to keep perservering with a game that you have been playing for ages. My aim (until FM2006 comes out) - is to hopefully win the PL and the Champions League. Whether that will be with Burnley, I'm not so sure.

Season 2017-18
A better season in the League, finishing 6th, which is a big improvement on last season. Made it to the semis of the League Cup (lost to Chelsea), to the 2nd round knockout of the UEFA Cup (lost to Inter), and lost to Villa in the FA Cup 5th round. Think I might have taken Burnley as far as I can to be honest. Finances are excellent, though I'm still unable to attract real top-class players to make the next step up.
We'll see what the summer brings though. |

Season 2018-19
Finished 3rd in the PL - a good season. Was up there or there about for most of the campaign, but was never really gonna win the title, which was won by Arsenal for the 4th year in a row. Made it to the semis of the FA Cup, but was knocked out of the League Cup fairly early on, whilst making it to the first round knockout stage of the UEFA Cup, before losing to Feyenoord.
I've so far resisted a move anywhere else, though I do feel a new challenge coming on. But how long have I been saying that for ?! :o Most recently turned down approaches from Chelsea and Schalke.
In other news, Liverpool were relegated from the PL :o and BPA finished mid-table in the Conference.

| Aye - I guess, though my feet do get itchier with every season ! :o Am struggling to attract the real quality players to Burnley, and more often than not - those who I bring in end up wanting to move to pastures new. Somehow, if I did win the PL or even the CL with Burnley - I doubt that would improve.

It's certainly one of the things that need tinkered with in FM2006, of xure. In real life reputation does eventually attract top players, especially when you look at Bolton's squad since Big Sam took over.
Reputation is a "must look at" |

*Update*
After a poor start to the season with Burnley, I've jumped ship and resigned. A major factor was my latest Dutch striker import falling with an injury for 4 months, 3 games into the season. I'd kind of had enough by then !
Anyway, I've moved abroad, and recently been appointed manager of Chievo who currently are bottom in Serie B. Got a bit of a challenge on my hands, with a large wage bill, but fortunately, some cash in the bank.
I think really things had gone stale for me at Burnley, and after a good 8-9 years there - twas time to move on.
