Ok - first of all an apology, I am not a true LLM manager because I play as Forest Green. Let me off - I've been playing since CM92 on the Amiga and I always used to start in the bottom league!

I have just finished my first season in the conference, finishing eighth.

Hartlepool declare their interest in my left back (20YO signed on a free from a premier league team - average 7.4 for the season).

I say his not for sale and set his asking price at £500k. He says he wants to leave. Hartlepool bid £500k, I ask for £700k and they agree.

How is this possible - premier league youth team reject becomes hot property after one season? Maybe my six Swedish coaches have performed some sort of miracle.

I now have a healthy transfer kitty amd thinking it will be too easy to get promotion - maybe I should have started as Redditch after all.

No, what you mean is any person managing a lower division team may have experienced this. Managing a team in the lower leagues does not make you an LLM.

As much as I'd love a debate on semantics, perhaps we can agree I am a llm (no capitals) - I manage a team in the lower leagues.

Alternatively, you could rebrand yourselves as Lowest League Managers - just to avoid me making
such a terrible faux pas.

You don't quite get it, do you?

If you just play the game with teams from the lower leagues, then this is not the place for you. LLM is not just about starting with a team from the lowest league in a given country: it's a whole lot more than that. Read the forum headers, read the rules, look at our stance on editors, scouting, etc. Then you'll see what we're about.
