FM06 - Still too easy to get better jobs in England?
To set the scene, I have started my first "proper" 06 game, starting again with my local team, Weston-super-Mare, in the Conference South.
Board expectations on joining were to rebuild the team (no DL in the squad (très-LLM)).
After an indifferent start, a decent run has seen us into the playoff spots by mid-December. Completely out of the blue, recently of the football league and lower mid-table in the Conference, Kidderminster Harriers come a-knocking. I have turned them down, but I am disappointed to be getting decent job offers only 6 months into my 1st managerial job.
Any other similar anecdotes?

Maybe it's not so much a testimony to your skills but an indication of just how crap all the other conference managers are. You just didn't have enough time yet to make a really bad impression.

Did you play 05 TADW? Constant, unwarranted, job offers blighted the English lower leagues for me on that, and it appears to be no different in the latest version.
Played a save in Germany, secured two promotions and European qualification and was never given a sniff of another job.

I don't think Nationality has any bearing on it. In my west-Europe save, I put myself as Spanish and despite what I would term a successful time with my first team, I couldn't get another job offer for five-six seasons.

If it is not against the rules, I will try starting unemployed in the UK as a Spanish and as a Cypriot (in the same save) and I will post which one gets a job first and at which team.
